The hotel is set in fabulous gardens outside the center with a lovely view of the grounds and beyond. The rooms have a charming heating system that unfortunately made the wardrobe creak frequently, but they do come with a huge fireplace perfect for a cozy evening tea.

Rooms
8.0
The rooms have a unique heating system that caused the wardrobe to creak frequently, but the views of the lovely grounds and beyond are stunning. The huge fireplace added a cozy touch to the stay.
Service
7.0
The staff really tried hard to provide good service, although there was a hiccup with finding my reservation even with the reservation code. However, they did supply everything I requested promptly.
Location
6.0
The hotel is located in fabulous gardens just outside the center, with easy access to the local pubs in the village. However, it might be a bit far from Burton center and some areas in town seemed less welcoming, like the almost empty restaurant at 9 am in the morning.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience was mixed; the 'hot' food being lukewarm was disappointing, but the homemade bread was a delightful touch.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel offers basic facilities, but the highlight is the beautiful gardens and surroundings. It's a bit lacking in terms of dining options and the temperature of the food.

I loved my stay at this hotel! The rooms have stunning views of the lovely grounds and beyond, featuring charming original features. However, they were a bit too dark for reading, although they did have facilities for a disabled person. The service was top-notch; the staff really tried hard to provide excellent service, but unfortunately, they couldn't find my reservation even with the reservation code. The location was perfect, set in fabulous gardens, although it was outside the city center. The dining experience was good overall, but the hot food was sometimes served lukewarm. The facilities were great, with everything I needed for a comfortable stay.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful nature setting, boasting fabulous gardens and housed in the original Manor House. While the almost empty restaurant felt serene, the restrictive seating arrangements at odd hours were off-putting. The stay was a mix of scenic tranquility and dining challenges.

Rooms
7.0
The rooms were adequately furnished, although the lighting was too dim for reading. The heating system caused some disturbance with creaking wardrobes.
Service
6.0
The staff put in a commendable effort to provide good service, although there were struggles locating reservations even with the provided codes.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location in the beautiful nature and exquisite gardens was a highlight, but being outside the center might not suit everyone.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience had its ups and downs, with notable tasty salads, but disappointingly lukewarm 'hot' food.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel offered a range of facilities to enhance the stay, though no specific details were highlighted.
